Jul 26, 2019 · The Snipping Tool is set to be discontinued in a future version of Windows 10. You can still use the tool as of July 2019, but it's a good idea to switch to the Snip & Sketch tool instead. To open the tool, type Snipping Tool in the Search box and click Snipping Tool. See the Using Snip & Sketch method to get started with the new tool. Find the Snipping Tool application in Windows Explorer by going to the Start menu and keying in "Snipping." The Snipping Tool should show up in the Start menu. Right-click on the application name (Snipping Tool) and click on Properties. Next to Shortcut key: insert the key combinations you want to use to open that application. I can load and run Snip and Sketch just fine. However, even though the RULER shows up when chosen from the menu, the PROTRACTOR doesn't. I can confirm that this is an issue with the Surround mode because when I disable this mode and return to three different screens, Snip and Sketch works flawlessly, including the protractor.
